Royal Caribbean’s second “quantum ultra-class” vessel will be named Odyssey of the Seas, the line has announced.
Odyssey’s first piece of steel was cut on Friday (February 1), with the ship due to join the Royal fleet in autumn 2020.
Work on the ship is under way at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Odyssey will be Royal Caribbean International’s 27th ship across its global fleet.
It will debut in autumn 2020 sailing from the US.
Royal’s first quantum ultra-class ship, Spectrum of the Seas, is due to launch in spring.
