The over 50s specialist, which last year floated on the London Stock Exchange, admitted there was a “proposal to reorganise the way holiday buyers, contract specialists and health and safety teams work” in the business.
It said this would involve employees working on either serving the Saga Holiday or Titan Travel brands.
The plan is to relocate all Titan staff to its Redhill base, and all Saga employees to its head office in Folkestone.
In a statement issued to TTG, the company said: “With a more efficient and focused way of operating we expect to be able to run with perhaps a dozen fewer roles overall.
“We appreciate that this will be a difficult time for the people with whom we are consulting and we sensitive to the need to treat people properly.
“However, this number should be seen in the context of a business that plans to recruit some 600 people this year. Indeed, today we have some 50 vacancies…we very much hope that we will be able to find roles for people who may not wish to move locations.”
Saga bought Titan back in October 2009. In September 2014, Saga announced it was to start selling through the trade for the first time in 60 years.
