Saga has announced its new luxury boutique cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery, will become all-inclusive in 2020.
All house spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks will be included in the overall price of a cruise aboard Discovery.
Sister ship Spirit of Adventure, joining the Saga fleet in August 2020, will also be all-inclusive.
Saga said the decision came following feedback from customers. Its cruises already include various complimentary services such as free WiFi.
Nigel Blanks, Saga chief operating officer, said the decision would “reaffirm Saga’s position as a niche luxury cruise operator”.
“Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure are the only boutique small ships being built with British market in mind,” he said.
“I firmly believe our decision to move to all-inclusive cruising will not only sit well alongside our boutique cruising proposition, it will also distance us further from the competition while giving those that choose to cruise with us an even more exclusive and value for money experience."
Saga’s all-inclusive drinks package expands its range of complimentary services, which includes meals, entertainment, afternoon tea, 24-hour room service, a welcome cocktail party, porterage and shuttle buses.
