This memorable Venice via the Alps journey first whisks travellers from London to Paris on the Eurostar, where they’ll change to a high-speed train travelling east to Geneva. Get there in just over three hours, and with time to spend a lovely half-day exploring the lakeside sights of this cosmopolitan city, perhaps enjoying a waterfront meal or a leisurely stroll along the banks of the lake. The next morning, depart Geneva and travel to Venice on one of the most scenic train routes in Europe through the Simplon Pass. Relax whilst the train first follows the shores of Lake Geneva and glides alongside Swiss vineyards, with stunning views of the snow-capped Alps in the background. Once onboard and heading to or from Venice, the dedicated steward will show passengers to their private compartment, before they enjoy a three-course lunch gazing at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites and the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in the compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening in one of the opulent restaurant cars.
