Tourism New Zealand launches training film series for travel agents

A series of six new short films are designed to help travel agents sell holidays to New Zealand

New Zealand provides a diverse range of landscapes and experiences, from cycling and hiking beneath snow-capped mountains to bathing in hot springs, wine tasting in local vineyards and swimming with dolphins. Fans of The Lord of the Rings trilogy can also enjoy immersing themselves in the “home of Middle Earth”.


To help travel agents sell holidays that cover all New Zealand has to offer in a short timeframe, the team at Tourism New Zealand has launched a series of six short films. These are designed to be a quick – each film is between three to four minutes – and easy way to take the hassle out of planning a break for your clients. They’ll also enhance your knowledge of New Zealand, which is invaluable for current and future sales to the destination.


Created especially for busy travel agents, the films can be watched on a desktop during a lunch break or on a mobile on the go. They can also be used as a handy tool during the selling process, bringing the country to life for your clients or helping to solve a new enquiry.


Each film has a theme, so that you can access the information you’re after in the click of a button. The first two in the series are themed "when to visit and how to get there" and "landscapes and wildlife", and the following four – which will be released in July 2018 – will cover:

  • Self-drive holidays
  • Maori culture
  • Seasons and weather
  • Domestic flight network
