Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines’ joint venture SunExpress will serve Antalya and Dalaman from Glasgow this summer.
SunExpress’s inaugural Glasgow-Antalya service took off on Friday (4 April) followed by its first Glasgow-Dalaman service on Saturday (5 April).
It will operate the routes using Boeing 737 aircraft flying to Antalya four times a week and Dalaman twice a week.
SunExpress will go up against Jet2.com, Tui and easyJet on both routes at Glasgow, with Corendon Airlines also serving Antalya from Glasgow.
The airline has also added three-times-weekly Liverpool-Antalya services, with the first flight taking off on Sunday (6 April) – also operated by Boeing 737 aircraft.
Return Liverpool-Antalya fares start from £189.99pp.
Tobias Bracht, SunExpress’s head of sales, said the carrier was excited to "double down" on Glasgow, with the new services representing a "significant expansion" of its Scottish operation.
"Scottish passengers will have a wider choice of travel options to Turkey than ever, enabling them to explore even more of its turquoise coasts, captivating history and culture, rich local cuisine, various sports and outdoor opportunities.”
Mark Beveridge, Glasgow airport managing director, added the new services would offer passengers flexibility when planning holidays to the two popular destinations.
"Antalya and Dalaman are longstanding favourites for holidaymakers, offering stunning beaches, rich cultural experiences and world-class leisure activities, including golf," said Beveridge.
"SunExpress’s decision to introduce six weekly flights from Glasgow highlights the strong demand for direct, convenient travel options to Turkey."
