The UK could soon see an influx of visitors from the US as the rush to take advantage of the weak pound.

Trips to Scotland (Pictured: Edinburgh) currently account for more than a third of all Railbookers’ sales

A survey of 2,007 Americans undertaken by Travelzoo has shown a third of them are now considering a trip to the UK in the next 12 months.

This has combined with data from Travlezoo’s own website which has seen a 35% year-on-year increase in US citizens searching for UK destinations.

Travelzoo UK managing director Joel Brandon-Bravo said: “With the British pound currently at a three-decade low against the US dollar, travel to the UK now offers excellent value for money for travellers from the US and many other global destinations.
