New recruits can currently recoup their initial outlay through the homeworking agency’s Money Back Challenge, a scalable sales target which applies to their first 12 months in business.
Franchise fees, excluding VAT, currently start from £9,995 and range up to £29,995, but will go up from June 1. The Travel Franchise has not yet announced its new fee structure but said proceeds would “fund further investment” in its franchise packages and “support brand offers”.
Paul Harrison, co-founder of the Travel Franchise, said the company would be “changing the criteria” for its Money Back Challenge to encourage a stronger sales focus.
“So many of our franchisees are hitting the challenge that we wanted to make it more challenging for them and help them to really focus on driving sales for their new businesses,” he said.
“The great news is that anyone who joins The Travel Franchise before June 1 will avoid the price increase and new Money Back Challenge criteria.”
Franchise fees go towards various training programmes, resources such as a laptop, booking website and marketing assets, and other administrative functions, including Atol protection.
The Travel Franchise, meanwhile, has set its sights on recruiting 1,000 franchisees by 2020 after reporting record May sales.
The business, the recruitment arm of agency Not Just Travel, has taken on around 20 new franchisees in May alone, it reported this week.
“May has been an amazing month,” said Harrison. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome so many new franchisees to The Travel Franchise. The growth we are experiencing builds on what has already been a strong start to 2018 and we are seeing increasing interest from across the UK from prospective new franchisees.
“We hope to continue the momentum throughout 2018 as we grow our business, providing opportunities for many more entrepreneurial individuals who are keen to start their own businesses.”
Co-founder Steven Witt added: “We’ve had an amazing start to the year but we’re not resting on our laurels. We want to offer even more people the opportunity to join our successful travel business and we’re looking to recruit 400 new franchisees over the next two years."
