In March alone, the company saw 27 new starters join the firm and since its new financial year started in November 2022, it has had more than 100 new franchisees join – a 45% increase on last year.
Ex-tour operators, corporate travel business development managers, a personal assistant and a private equity manager are some of the individuals who made the move to set up their own business with Travel Counsellors.
Jim Eastwood, global sales director at Travel Counsellors, said: "We are seeing a significant increase in interest from experienced travel professionals and budding entrepreneurs from a range of backgrounds with a shared passion for travel and being their own boss."
The intake comes as the company invests £10m into its support platform which facilitates the adoption of TC Teams across the business, enabling homeworkers to collaborate by promoting peer-to-peer support and knowledge sharing.
