FormScore enables users to record how they are feeling each day through its app using a 1-10 scale and assess factors impacting their mood - from exercise and finances, to nutrition, sleep and stress.
The platform connects fellow users with their trusted individuals, such as friends, family and colleagues, giving them the chance to check in daily and let them know when someone might need support.
FormScore founder Rob Stephenson told TTG the app’s creation was a means of boosting openness around mental health and offering a simplified way for people to express how they were feeling.
“Choosing the right language can sometimes be difficult, or people may not want to talk about it. It’s a lot easier to say ‘I’m a 4/10 today’ than it is to say ‘I’m feeling anxious or depressed’,” said Stephenson, who lives with bipolar.
“Having a numbers-driven approach and the concept of ‘form’ makes it easier for people to relate and understand,” he added.
The company has recently launched its FormScore for Teams B2B platform for companies to measure workplace wellbeing and offering employees the option to participate anonymously if they wish.
To mark World Mental Health Day on Monday (10 October), FormScore is urging travel firms to join its campaign to hold the World’s Biggest Mental Health Check-in by using the app and logging wellbeing scores on the same day.
More information can be accessed on FormScore’s website, while interested companies can also request bespoke programmes for their employees.
“The travel sector has had to cope with so much over the last few years and is still facing challenges, especially around the current financial situation, and that can take its toll and businesses and their teams,” added Stephenson.
“We’re hoping that by companies getting involved we can grow more understanding around the importance of checking in with colleagues and create more empathy for the mental health challenges people face.”
