Travelsphere will allow passengers to cancel trips three months in advance of departure if changes to EU visa or immigration policy resulting from Brexit affects their travel plans.
The operator launched a range of “Brexit-busting deals” and a new cancellation guarantee on Friday morning (February 1) in an effort to reassure passengers and encourage new bookings.
“We appreciate some travellers are feeling apprehensive about travel to Europe, so we are excited to launch our market leading ‘Brexit Buster Guarantee’,” said managing director Alastair Campbell.
“If as a result of Brexit, British passport holders are not allowed entry into the EU member state where their Travelsphere holiday is taking place, we will allow free cancellation of the holiday.”
Travelsphere’s guarantee states that if a traveller is affected by any such Brexit arrangement, and their passport meets the requirements issued by the government for travel to Europe after March 29, 2019, they will be able to cancel their holiday free of charge at least 91 days prior to travel.
“This guarantee is available to British passport holders only and will apply to new bookings only made between February 1 and February 28 for travel to an EU member state on a Travelsphere holiday departing before December 31,” the guarantee reads.
To encourage bookings, Travelsphere has introduced a low deposit of £25 on all holidays, is offering free private door-to-door airport transfers on all holidays and free visa service.
Other deals include savings of up to £300 per couple on selected holidays and local departures from £99pp on local or connecting flights.
The offers apply to bookings made before February 28 (inclusive).
The move comes after Riviera Travel took a similar step earlier this month by offering passengers a £150pp "loyalty reward" to encourage repeat river cruise bookings amid the ongoing uncertainty around Brexit.
Travelsphere aims to offer the holiday of a lifetime, every time. We're at the forefront of escorted touring, with over 50 years of experience.
