Tourism Australia will once again team up with TTG to host TTG Aussie Fest, a free-to-attend five-day festival of online events for travel agents in the UK and Ireland.
The 2022 festival will take place from 4-8 April, just six weeks after Australia reopened its borders to international tourists.
Aimed both at agents who attended last year’s events and those who are new to TTG Aussie Fest, the content is designed to help travel professionals boost their Australia knowledge and increase their sales to the destination.
Virtual fam trips, experiential workshops, engaging panel discussions and agent training sessions will take place over the five days.
Highlights include a virtual tour of a newly renovated luxury lodge in Queensland, a gin-tasting workshop, for which samples will be sent to participating agents, and a wellness workshop that will see attendees enjoy a pampering session from the comfort of their own homes.
Virtual fams showcasing in-destination experiences and training sessions from all regional tourist boards are also set to be must-attend events.
“TTG Aussie Fest is back and it’s bigger than ever before,” said Pete Mills, Tourism Australia’s partnerships and distribution manager for the UK and Northern Europe.
“With the borders now open to international leisure travellers, now is the perfect time for agents to inspire their customers to book a trip Down Under and explore the best of Australia.”
Mills also explained TTG Aussie Fest will provide agents with the tools and the knowledge needed to convert interest into bookings.
“Our trade partners, now more than ever before, will play a key role in restoring tourism to the destination, and we look forward to working closely with them to remind customers why there’s nothing like Australia,” he added.
The full programme for TTG Aussie Fest is available on the event website, while agents interested in improving their Australia sales can register here.
