ttgluxury Seminar: 'It's service that counts'

The boss of pet accessory and travel website PetsPyjamas told delegates that regardless of sector, it is always the customer service that counts

The UK’s growing love of its pets has seen PetsPyjamas grow by 320%, chief executive Gracia Amico (pictured) said. She added PetPyjamas now has a database of 90,000 people and has secured strategic partnerships with Eurotunnel and P&O Cruises.


The pet travel market was forecast to grow 6%, Amico added.


Dog owners reportedly spend 45% more on their stay then non-dog owners, with Brits spending an average of £450 million taking their pets away.


Amico said that some of the firm’s success can be put down to its PR endorsements from model Georgia May Jagger and politician George Osborne.


“I’ve never worked at a company that takes so much pride and puts so much effort into what we do,” Amico told delegates. She had previously worked in e-commerce roles at Hobbs, Topman and Burberry.
