Now in its 10th anniversary year, the initiative seeks to identify and raise the profile of those future travel sector leaders who are already driving positive change and transforming travel for the better.
The programme is once again in partnership with Tui, with support from the Institute of Travel and Tourism, and offers the 30 successful travel professionals the opportunity to attend a series of dinners with inspiring speakers and other networking activities.
Daniel Pearce, TTG Media CEO, said: “The pandemic, and the paralysis it brought to travel, is ushering in a whole new generation of young leaders. The future of the industry has never been more in the hands of the young as the transformation of travel following the crisis continues.
“Whether young entrepreneurs or corporate achievers, we want to celebrate the very best as the TTG 30 Under 30 programme enters its 10th anniversary year.”
Richard Sofer, Tui commercial and business development director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with TTG again this year for its 30 Under 30 scheme. If the past two years have taught us one thing, it’s just how resilient the travel industry and the people who work in it are.
“The industry is full of inspiring, adaptable, hard-working and passionate people that make it a community like no other. I hope things will never be as challenging as they have been in recent times, but I have total confidence that no matter what is on the horizon, there is no other group of people I’d want to be working alongside.
“The TTG 30 Under 30 scheme is a brilliant opportunity for this group of individuals to be inspired by our wonderful industry, and bring their own bright, young minds together to challenge the norms and help us grow even stronger in the post-Covid era.
“As the UK’s market-leading holiday company, we know we need people who can bring modern and diverse ideas to keep us that way, and ensure travel remains one of the most popular industries to work in.
"If you or someone you know has what it takes to be a future leader, I encourage you to apply for TTG 30 Under 30 and take advantage of the coaching and networking on offer.”
‘Great accolade’
Claire Steiner, ITT director of education, added: “The TTG 30 Under 30 is a fantastic showcase for the young professionals that our industry employs, highlighting opportunities for networking and professional development as well as career progression. This sits at the core of the ITT, and this initiative proves that we continue to attract amazing talent that will be leading our sector in the future.
“I would encourage anyone to nominate people in their teams, or themselves, for this year’s intake as it will give them the opportunity to network with, and learn from, their peers. It is also a great way of recognising their achievements so early on in their careers. A great accolade for them and their companies.”
