Additional flights to the Red Sea resort in Egypt will get under way on 6 May next year, flying on Wednesdays. Tui will operate a winter 2019/20 programme to Marsa Alam, starting November 6.
Manchester will also gain additional Tui flights to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico next summer.
The operator will now offer seven, 10, 11 and 14-night durations, with the option of two different flights a week from Manchester to the Pacific coast resort.
It comes amid a steady resurgence for Egypt following the Egyptian State Tourist Authority’s decision last year to steer its focus in the UK away from Sharm El Sheikh – amid the ongoing ban on direct flights – and towards other Red Sea resorts instead, such as Marsa Alam and Hurghada.
Karen Switzer, Tui UK and Ireland director of aviation planning, said: “The new route to Marsa Alam from Manchester provides holidaymakers with even more choice when deciding where to go next summer.
“The additional flying days added to the Puerto Vallarta programme [will] provide holidaymakers in the North West greater flexibility on durations and more opportunity to experience our wide range of hotel concepts and destinations.”
Stephen Turner, Manchester airport commercial director, said: “It’s great to see Tui launch new destinations from Manchester Airport for 2020. I am sure these routes will be incredible popular, and will please the 22 million passengers in our vast catchment area.”
Tui and First Choice have thousands of free kids’ places across their holidays and deposits are £50pp for short- and mid-haul and £125pp for long-haul. Summer 2020 holidays are now on sale.
Seven nights all-inclusive at the T5 Tui Senismar Alaya, Marsa Alam, leads in from £917pp, based on two adults sharing, departing Manchester on 6 May with transfers.
