Multi-platinum selling band DNCE are to return to Royal Caribbean, with a live performance on the seven-night Total Eclipse cruise.
The US dance-rock band will perform live onboard Oasis of the Seas to celebrate the “The Great American Eclipse” - a total solar eclipse to occur on August 21, which will be visible from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean.
The American band performed on sister ship Harmony of the Seas in November 2016 to celebrate the ship’s arrival in the US.
Joe Jonas, the lead singer of DNCE, said: “When we were invited to headline this once-in-a-lifetime event, we didn’t think twice. What could be more out of this world than witnessing a full solar eclipse at sea?
“We’re incredibly excited to be coming back onboard with Royal Caribbean to put on a lights-out performance with a very special guest. It’s beyond exciting to be able to celebrate this crazy moment in history out in the middle of the ocean.”
Guests booked on the Total Eclipse Cruise can visit Royal Caribbean’s website to receive their complimentary seats for the concert by logging onto their reservation.
In addition to the live performance and viewing party, guests will also be given the opportunity to enjoy eclipse-themed activities, trivia and interactive science entertainment for families.
The seven-night Total Eclipse Cruise onboard Oasis of the Seas will set sail on August 20, 2017, from Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida, and visit Caribbean destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, including Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Nassau, The Bahamas.
