WTM London has given a first glimpse of this year’s conference programme, with sessions discussing travel agents, Brexit and the future of the industry workforce.
Findings from the official WTM London Industry Report will be revealed, and market research company Euromonitor International will unveil its new Innovation report.
WTM’s Big Airline Session focuses on the state of play and outlook for the sector, followed by the airline CEO interview, with leading industry executives discussing how they are managing the crisis.
The WTM China Forum, organised by China Travel Online, looks at China’s recovery and reopening, market trends and key factors to attract Chinese visitors.
The Responsible Tourism session and Awards returns, as does the Ministers’ Summit, this year entitled Investing in Tourism’s Sustainable Future.
Charlotte Alderslade, WTM Portfolio conference and seminar manager, said: “With pent-up demand for 2022, it’s crucial to ensure travel providers and destinations are one step ahead when it comes to planning for the future, so this year we have a real emphasis on research, trends and the future of travel.
“We’re extremely excited to reunite with the industry as well as welcoming some top CEOs and C-level speakers to our sessions, with the likes of Abta, Expedia, Tui and BBC already onboard for 2021.”
Exhibitors from nearly 20 European countries have signed up for WTM London. The physical show will take place at ExCeL on November 1-3, followed by WTM Virtual (November 8-9).
One of the largest European contingents will be from Spain, including tourist boards representing Catalonia, Murcia, Balearic islands and the Canaries.
Others confirmed include France, Greece, Corfu, Malta, Holland, Brussels, Cyprus, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Slovenia.
London Travel Week will return during the seven days surrounding WTM, coordinating a series of events taking place around the capital, including the Wanderlust Travel Awards at Kensington Palace.
