WTM organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions has rescheduled three of its global trade shows to new dates due to the pandemic.
Arabian Travel Market, which had been due to take place in Dubai in April, is being replaced by next week’s ATM Virtual Event from 1 to 3 June.
While the next edition of the physical ATM show is now scheduled for 16-19 May 2021 at its usual venue of Dubai World Trade Centre.
WTM Latin America 2020, originally due to be held on 31 March-2 April in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been rearranged for 20-22 October 2020 at the same venue, Expo Center Norte.
Finally, Africa Travel Week, including WTM Africa and International Luxury Travel Market Africa, was also due to be held in April and has now been rescheduled for 7-9 April 2021 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Claude Blanc, WTM portfolio director said: “We are constantly reviewing the situation around Covid-19 and the impact on our events in line with local and national government and public health advice and World Health Organization guidelines.
“Our policies reflect those of the country governments in which our events take place.
“There has never been a more crucial time for the travel industry to work together and our newly scheduled shows promise to be the quality business events that exhibitors and visitors have come to expect – just a little later in the year.”
