The firm’s dynamic API (application programming interface) system will also be updated and a new website and rebranding delivered by the end of 2016.
Youtravel forms part of the German-based FTI Group and Meeting Point International Group, with the former having recently acquired six
new hotels to be part of group hotel chain, Labranda.
Matthew Carpenter has been promoted into the role of head of distribution and will also be responsible for the UK operation and office in London.
Maura Ryan will join the team in London as operations manager, having most recently worked as head of European operations for a “major global wholesaler”.
Leila Costigan has also joined to head up a newly-created marketing team in London, having most recently managed marketing for a “major tour operator in the UK”.
The firm says its investment in technology “will take a further step forward with the launch of Meeting Point Global in December 2016”.
This will enable Youtravel’s partners to have access to dynamic content from all over the world, access to major hotel chains and provide
more last-minute availability.
The firm said in order to build product awareness and build on agent relations, it will be running a number of roadshows in the next year across the UK.
