Held on 8th July at 8 Northumberland Avenue in central London, the event brought together over 100 Travel Counsellors and 30 cruise suppliers for a full day of learning, collaboration, and networking, underlining the company’s ongoing investment in cruise as a key area of growth.
The programme featured business updates and insight-led sessions exploring the evolving cruise landscape, with contributions from industry organisations including the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and the Expedition Cruise Network (ECN). A series of cruise line panel discussions also explored key market trends, product innovation and changing customer demand.
Attendees also took part in a Travel Counsellor Trade Marketplace (TCTM), which brought together around 30 cruise partners and enabled meaningful one-to-one engagement and deeper supplier relationships, before moving into a series of collaborative workshops with 12 supplier partners in the afternoon offering practical guidance on topics including booking systems, customer profiling and repackaging strategies.
Janet Whittingham, Head of Cruise at Travel Counsellors commented: “Cruise continues to be one of the strongest growth areas for our business, now accounting for around 14% of our UK leisure sales, and bringing our community together at Cruise Together provided a valuable opportunity to focus on where that growth is coming from and how we continue to build on it.
“What made the event so special was the sense that we were all in it together. Seeing Travel Counsellors, cruise partners and industry experts sharing ideas, asking questions and learning from one another really demonstrated the strength of our community. The enthusiasm and engagement throughout the day reflected the appetite to continue developing cruise expertise, and we're committed to providing the tools, support and supplier partnerships that help our Travel Counsellors turn that knowledge into exceptional customer experiences.”
