The group has acquired Bournemouth airport-based Holidaze, which has been a Fred Olsen Travel licensee since 2022.
It follows Fred Olsen's acquisition of another licensee, Ponders Travel, back in February. The agency chain also agreed a deal late last month for Dorset agency Saville Travel, growing its network to 24 branches.
Holidaze owner Jo Watts decided to sell the business after being offered an opportunity to transition into a business development role with operator Typically Holidays.
Her agency will be fully integrated into Fred Olsen Travel's Christchurch branch owing to its proximity, which will result in the airport site closing.
Fred Olsen Travel will take over Holidaze's database to ensure continuity for its clients, while long-time member of staff Roz Willis will join the team in Christchurch.
Julie Berry, Fred Olsen Travel managing director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Roz to our team and look forward to continuing to offer the same amazing service and expertise to all Holidaze customers."
New beginning
Watts, who has been an agent for more than 30 years, told TTG she had been doing some work over the past 15 months for Typically supporting agents in the south
"I totally understand and empathise with the daily challenges [agents face] – its not an easy job," she said. Now she's gone full-time at Typically, Watts's remit has been extended to covering the West Country.
"Having worked closely with Daniele [Broccoli, Typically managing director] and the team, I love how passionate he is about the trade and I'm equally as passionate about supporting a 100% trade-only brand."
On Holidaze's future as a part of Fred Olsen Travel, Watts added: "Having been a licensee of Fred Olsen Travel for the past few years, I truly believe their customer care and service ethos aligns with what I've worked so hard to build over the past 20 years.
"It gives me comfort too to know Roz will be their looking after our Holidaze clients, ensuring continuity and reassurance."
