HAL redraws Grand World Voyage itinerary to avoid Red Sea

Holland America Line (HAL) has changed its 2025 Grand World Voyage itinerary to protect its passengers and avoid the Red Sea where tensions continue.

The amendments affect the last 43 days of the 124-day cruise and HAL’s Zuiderdam ship will now visit one more port than originally planned. It will call at 49 ports across 34 countries and territories.


HAL has added new ports in Africa and Europe plus a call in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and removed calls in the Red Sea to protect the safety of guests. 

The round-trip voyage will still finish on 9 May 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, US.
