The 190-room hotel is a joint venture between developers Grosvenor Britain & Ireland (Grosvenor) and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HSH) and will be developed at 1-5 Grosvenor Place on London’s Hyde Park Corner.
It will involve the tearing down of the existing 1950s and 1960s offices on the site and is just steps away from The Lanesborough which recently reopened after a multi-million renovation, as well as number of other five-star hotels in the area.
The idea behind the hotel also involves bringing in shops, bars, restaurants and a ballroom and will be accessed by a grand pedestrian entrance on Grosvenor Place, but the project will not be completed until 2021.
