A luxury advisor has launched a new service for clients seeking more from their travel, having realised the power of ‘intentional’ holidays on her mental wellbeing.
Travl.Love’s Nadine Brady says The Life Edit is aimed at individuals who feel inwardly disconnected, despite appearing successful and happy to the outside world.
The reasons for this disconnect vary widely, but the behavioural pattern often follows a familiar cycle – ignoring signs of distress until the pain becomes so overwhelming that the person takes a drastic action to find relief.
The Life Edit aims to disrupt this vicious cycle, helping people identify what’s missing from their life before developing a long-term plan for improvement.
Clients are first invited to complete The Life Edit Wheel Quiz, which assesses satisfaction across eight areas, including career, finances, health and relationships.
The results of this scorecard are then used to shape their next holiday; for example, a writing retreat may be recommended for a client stuck in a creative rut, while a music festival could be suggested for someone feeling restless.
“One trip is not going to change the whole of your life, but I want The Life Edit to be a starting point,” Brady told TTG Luxury. She added that it will be a highly-personalised service, with each holiday tailored to the client’s needs following a consultation lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.
“I’ll be spending a lot longer with clients to help them to really consider where they’re at and what they need,” Brady explained. “I won’t be telling them what type of holiday they should go on, but I’ll be asking them to be more intentional with their travel.”
Brady was inspired to create The Life Edit after enduring a number of challenges, including professional burnout, excessive drinking and a marital separation. It was during this difficult period that she rediscovered the mental benefits of travel, especially in the form of fam trips.
“When I was working all hours and feeling at my lowest, it was those fam trips that gave me the breathing space I desperately needed,” she said.
“Stepping out of my everyday life, speaking to people outside my usual circles, it gave me perspective. Slowly, I began to unpick what wasn’t working, face the things I’d been avoiding, and take the first steps toward turning my life around.”
Clients who book a trip through The Life Edit will receive several perks, including upgrades, early check-ins and full concierge services. This VIP treatment continues after they return, when they will have an optional post-trip integration call to discuss their holiday.
While The Life Edit is still in development, Brady has big plans for its future. Inspired by the community of Travel Sisterhood, the Scottish native hopes to offer life coaching webinars for clients who have booked the service.
Brady also won’t be turning anyone away with The Life Edit, but she emphasised that her target demographic is women over the age of thirty.
“As women get older, I think they can become more fearful,” she explained. “I’m all about trying to be braver as I get older and I think women need help with that.”
Brady also believes that her childfree status enables her to focus on helping other women: “Not having had children myself, I have more time to give the clients,” she added.
“This is just the beginning. I see The Life Edit becoming a movement, one where women prioritise themselves, step outside their comfort zones and return feeling stronger than they left.”
