The trio have been rapidly growing their Nobu Hospitality portfolio worldwide, with Nobu Hotel Marbella becoming their third property in Europe.
The 81-room hotel will be adults-only and is set to open on March 29 on Marbella’s Golden Mile. The UK is expected to be the largest market for Nobu Hotel Marbella, which is planned as a year-round resort and is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
General manager of Nobu Hotel Marbella Francesco Roccato said: “This will be a lifestyle-focused hotel for adults only, with an incredible focus on food and drink, with Chef Nobu’s incredible input. Having spent a week with him in the region, I know he has come up with ways to bring a local Andalusian flavour to the cuisine.”
At the hotel, there will be 24-hour in-room Nobu dining, pool with sunset DJ sessions and a “roving” mixology cart to create signature Nobu cocktails for guests in their rooms at sunset.
Guests will have priority access to a Nobu restaurant, which was the first to open in Spain when it arrived in Marbella last June, and can also enjoy access to all the options at La Plaza at neighbouring Hotel Puente Romano, including La Suite nightclub and restaurants by Michelin-starred Dani Garcia.
Hotel Puente Romano’s Six Senses spa will also be accessible to Nobu guests, as well as a beach club, tennis club, Dave Thomas-designed golf course and an equestrian centre.
While managed under the Nobu Hospitality umbrella, Nobu Hotel Marbella shares the same ownership as Hotel Puente Romano, part of the MC Hotels collection that also includes Marbella Club Hotel, El Lodge in Sierra Nevada and Bora Bora Lagoon Resort. The same owners were behind Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, which opened in 2017.
Future Nobu Hospitality projects are planned in Barcelona, Riyadh, Los Cabos, Chicago, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Bahrain and Atlanta.
