French cruise line Ponant is to “reappraise” cuisine on-board its ships by signing a new partnership with world renowned chef Alain Ducasse.

Ponant, which has five yacht-style ships sailing globally, is joining forces with Ducasse Conseil, a catering centre of excellence run by the chef’s consulting arm Alain Ducasse Entreprise.

The two will now embark on a project that will include auditing, culinary concept creation and training for all Ponant’s chefs in order to offer “consistently high levels of service and cuisine” across the company’s 10 restaurants at sea.
