British Airways’ chief executive has written to employees after parent IAG announced on Tuesday (28 April) it is set to embark on a restructuring and redundancy programme that could lead to up to 12,000 redundancies.
IAG said the proposals, announced on Tuesday (28 April), remain subject to consultation, but are "likely to affect most of British Airways’ employees".
In his letter, Alex Cruz included a tribute to the thousands of BA colleagues who are "playing a vital role in the global response to the Covid-19 crisis".
