Barrhead Travel has appointed Caroline Donaldson as director of product and commercial for the Scottish travel agency.
The move is a promotion for Donaldson, who was previously Barrhead’s head of commercial. It is part of a series of management changes since Jacqueline Dobson became the company’s president in January.
In her new role, Donaldson will oversee commercial agreements, product and business development across Barrhead’s business including cruise.
“It’s a really exciting time to be part of Barrhead Travel,” said Donaldson, who has been with the company for 16 years. “I am looking forward to the next chapter that this role will bring, including working alongside our cruise partners.
“The creation of the position is a reflection of our strength within the UK market as we continue to expand and acknowledges the developments we have made in terms of product enhancements and commercial negotiations.”
Barrhead has already announced plans to introduce a new internal Talent Management Programme later this summer with the aim of ensuring around 75% of promotions are filled internally.
