In a video filmed at home, the vice-president EMEA at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd acknowledges the “incredibly strange times” the world is currently in: “strange personally, strange professionally, strange socially”.
“We are doing our best to adapt to changing needs of environment we see ourselves in,” he says. “We’re desperate to keep supporting our trade despite the fact that all working from home. I’ve said to my sales teams, I want you to be more visible, not less.”
However Bouldin urges agents to “keep an eye on the future opportunities that exist when we come through this. And we will.”
“People are working at home – they’re not allowed out. There’s going to be a huge population of people desperate to take a vacation and Q3, Q4 could be a really exciting period of time for the holidays market, not to mention 2021,” he says.
“We’re spending a lot of our time thinking about how we can support our travel trade partners when we come through this. We will come through this. It’s important we start to plan for that,” he concludes. “Please keep positive – we will get through this, and we’ll get through this together.”
