Trade-friendly tour operator Classic Collection Holidays has registered its 13th consecutive year of growth as it continued to prosper despite the unpredictable trading climate.

The Caribbean island dropped its 12am to 5am curfew on Monday, with a new directive put in place for more relaxed Covid protocols

Turnover at the West Sussex-based firm rose by 1.9% to £63 million. Operating profit increased by 0.2% to £3.2 million, giving it a margin of 5%, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

Forward bookings for the current financial year are marginally ahead of 2014-15, the company said.

Like other tour operators Classic Collection has faced a number of challenges in recent years, including political unrest, terrorism and unpredictable weather, but rather than viewing them in a wholly negative light, the directors see opportunities.
