A travel seller arrested on suspicion of fraud after police received a number of complaints about discounted holidays has been bailed.
The 37-year-old woman from County Durham was arrested last Wednesday (9 September) by detectives from Durham’s economic crime unit.
Officers are speaking to several “potential victims”, and believe the woman’s client list extends “into the hundreds”.
The woman’s social media presence has been removed, and she has been released on bail with conditions.
“Police have arrested a woman in connection with an independent travel business in County Durham offering discounted holidays after complaints from members of the public,” said Durham Constabulary.
