Crackdown on Covid test 'cowboys' and US storm devastation

Health secretary Sajid Javid is set to purge the government’s list of Covid test providers, warning firms face a two-strike warning system if they continue to advertise misleading prices.

The move comes as the biggest step yet in the government’s crackdown on what Javid described as "cowboy" firms following his intervention in the testing price dispute shortly after taking over from Matt Hancock.
