Atlanta-based Delta had an on-time performance of 86.1% in 2018, according to statistics from aviation data firm FlightGlobal – this was an improved of 0.19 percentage points on 2017.
Qatar Airways had the second best punctuality record last year with 85.9% of its flights being on-time while KLM was the top European airline with 85% of services on-time.
The other airlines in the top five for punctuality were ANA at 84.2% and Russian carrier Aeroflot with an on-time percentage of 83%. The top UK-based airline was Flybe with on-time arrival rate of 77% last year.
