Gray Dawes Group chief executive Suzanne Horner will join the board of the Advantage Travel Partnership next month.
Horner will be tasked with ensuring business travel remains “high on the agenda” for Advantage, with Advantage Business Travel accounting for more than £3.5 billion turnover.
Advantage said Horner’s appointment underlined the consortium’s commitment to investing in products and services for its business travel members and was “reflective” of its increased emphasis on business travel investment.
Horner is an active member of Advantage Business Travel owing to her role with Gray Dawes, and is chair of the executive board of the Business Travel Association (formerly the GMTC).
Advantage chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said said: “I believe Suzanne will contribute significantly to our future business travel direction and her high profile will only help to endorse Advantage as the only true business travel commercial organisation, delivering even greater business travel expertise to our community.”
Horner added: “As part of my role on the BTA, we have over the past year been forming a closer bond between Advantage and the BTA and I am a strong advocate for industry collaboration.
“I have seen first-hand through Gray Dawes’ membership of Advantage the benefit we receive, and I am honoured to be asked to take a seat on the board and contribute to Advantage’s vision for the future.”
Advantage chairman Steven Esom added: “Advantage is in a prime position to demonstrate the invigorated business travel proposition available to new and future members following the introduction of divisional leisure and business teams, investment in WIN, M&E, as well as extended commercial and innovation resources.”
Meanwhile, Paul Moran has joined Advantage as business development manager for the south.
Moran will work with existing Advantage leisure members to support their business growth and ensure they maximise membership benefits.
He joins Advantage from WorkAdvisor, which will continue to support Advantage as a recruitment solution
David Moon, Advantage head of business development, said Moran would bring a wealth of industry experience and fresh energy to the role.
“Paul is really looking forward to getting out and meeting the Advantage members and finding out more about their business needs,” he added.
