Inghams Ski has launched a new “In Safe Hands” marketing campaign to reassure customers looking to book their winter sports break for next winter.
The leading ski and snowboarding operator said it had seen a surge in bookings since the government announced plans to relax Covid-19 travel restrictions.
To capitalise on this increased demand, Inghams’ new campaign reveals how it is ensuring holidays are “as safe as possible” for winter 2020-21.
This includes providing details about financial protection, low deposits and no amendment fees, as well as the health and hygiene measures it will be implementing in-resort.
Chief executive Paul Carter said: “Despite the many uncertainties regarding Covid-19, we would like our trade partners to take comfort in the fact that we’re doing all we can to ensure their customers can safely pursue their passions again.
“We have already seen a great number of agents transferring their customers to next year, and many new bookings for 2021, for this reason we feel it is important to share our plans and promises for the up and coming winter ski season.”
Inghams has also revealed the measures it plans to introduce for accommodation it manages, including all staff being given Covid-specific hygiene equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment), as well as extra cleaning routines and not providing self-service food.
There will also not be any apres-ski events for “large amounts” of people, while opening hours and guest numbers may be restricted for spa areas, hot tubs and pools.
The operator added that all partner hotels will managed locally and will be compliant with the destination’s Covid-19 rules.
