The homeworking agency on Wednesday (7 June) reported sales surging by 58% in the year to May, while the average value of an InteleTravel booking has gone up by 14% to £1,500 over the same period.
“Word is spreading among the supplier community that our agents are selling on par or above their average industry sales,” claimed InteleTravel’s UK and Ireland managing director Tricia Handley-Hughes.
While the Mediterranean and Spain remain the business’s most sought-after destinations, InteleTravel has also seen a significant rise in cruise sales.
The agency cited its decision to join Clia as a major factor in this, as well as a providing more intensive training for its 14,500 agents across the UK and Ireland.
“We are also revamping our mandatory induction training so that new agents from outside the industry can better understand a complicated regulatory environment and sell with confidence,” Handley-Hughes added.
