The company, launched in 2015 by chief executive Angus Drummond (pictured above), has acquired £800,000 worth of seed funding with a lead investor in former Saracens rugby club owner Nigel Wray.
As part of its plans, Limitless is looking to grow its product range to offer more global destinations and cruises, as well as and launch an online booking function.
The operator has already added a raft of new destinations for 2022, including long-haul trips in South America, the Caribbean and Thailand and is also shortlisted in two categories at the Travel Industry Awards 2022.
Drummond, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at 22, said Wray’s investment would be “fundamental” to the company achieving its mission of “revolutionising travel” for disabled people.
“After the difficulties caused by the Covid pandemic over the past two years, Limitless Travel is in a stronger position than ever, and we’re now able to provide a range of global destinations to our customers,” he said.
“We are due to launch an online booking service shortly and are beginning our expansion into the US. We are on the path of achieving our vision of creating the world’s most accessible travel company for disabled people.”
Wray added: “With between 40% and 50% of disabled people in the UK never going on holiday because of all the associated stress of organising a trip, Limitless Travel’s team of expert carers who travel with every trip ensure that everything is taken care of and passengers can truly relax and enjoy their dream holiday. It’s a wonderful journey to be going on with them.”
