Berkshire-based long-haul specialist Skies The Limit has ceased trading with immediate effect.

Specialist wildlife operator Bird Holidays has ceased trading after being unable to run any tours since March 2020

The company, based in Maidenhead, traded under the name STL Holidays, and sold exclusively through an appointed agent called Elegant Travel & Tours – a Travel Trust Association (TTA) member.

At the time of the firm’s collapse on Tuesday there were 142 Atol-protected forward bookings covering 321 passengers.

There were seven Atol-protected bookings overseas, covering 17 passengers.

The CAA said for customers overseas on a trip purchased with Skies The Limit, and holding a schedule e-ticket, the flight remains valid for all portions of the trip and return to the UK.
