Beds with Ease head of sales Nicola Harper has told TTG she will look back with pride at the "great strides" the bed bank has made over the past two years after being made redundant.
TTG 30 Under 30 alumnus Harper said she was proud of the firm’s spring 2019 rebrand and subsequent growth in brand awareness, and the increase in agent engagement she helped oversee.
Harper paid particular tribute to Beds with Ease managing director Phil Turner, whom she said had been hugely supportive and given her the opportunity to grow under his management.
"Beds with Ease was my first role in the accommodation sector," said Harper. "Phil gave me autonomy and helped me develop my skill set, which will help me in my next adventure – it has been an absolute pleasure working with him.
"I am now very excited to see where my next career move will take me."
Harper started her career with Tui in 2007; she moved on to Attraction World in 2013 where she was national account manager, before being appointed trade partnership manager at Thomas Cook.
She joined Beds with Ease as national account manager in October 2018, before assuming the role of head of sales.
Harper said her biggest thanks was to the trade, and her friends in the industry, for their support. "They are all in my thoughts as the industry goes through these challenging times," she said.
"I know many have built successful businesses over many years through sheer hard work, and it is heartbreaking to see them working for no money and facing challenges daily.
"Travel is a resilient family, though, and I know we will see sunnier times together."
