Ryanair filled more of its seats in October despite cancelling thousands of flights, latest figures show.
The budget airline filled an average of 96% of its seats last month, compared with 95% in the same month a year earlier. Passenger numbers grew 8% to 11.8 million.
The carrier claims that passenger numbers grew despite the cancellations “on the back of lower fares”.
In the rolling 12 month period, passenger numbers to the end of October rose 12% to 128.2 million.
