Froggatt, who is Travelopia’s group chief sales officer and managing director, adventures and events, will “remain available as necessary to assist on certain key projects over the coming months”.
Sam Seward, currently managing director of Exodus, will join the executive leadership team as managing director, adventure, reporting directly to Travelopia’s chief executive Andy Duncan. Travelopia said Seward would continue to lead the Exodus business.
Duncan said: “As the core Travelopia portfolio continues to take shape, I have been working with Martin Froggatt on how and when is the right time to make any further changes.
“It is in this context that after 20 years, Martin has decided that now is the right time to leave the group and move on to a fresh challenge. Martin has made a huge contribution during his tenure, both in the UK and US.
“He was critical to the turnarounds in both the education and events portfolios, returning them to profitability before the sale by Tui, and he was also instrumental in delivering the platform which has enabled our expedition business to grow consistently and profitably over the last eight years.”
