According to the UK Foreign Office, the country will now accept documentation which proves a traveller has recovered from Covid-19 within the last six months if they are unvaccinated.
It comes following reports Spain would initially defy the move outlined by the EU.
The FCDO said: "If you are travelling from the UK to Spain for tourism purposes, are not fully vaccinated but have recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months, you can also use a medical certificate or recovery record to prove your Covid-19 status on entry to Spain."
It added there are still "some different" entry requirements for children under 12 years old and those aged 12 to 17 inclusive.
Travellers can still show proof of full vaccination to gain entry, without the need to provide proof of recovery.
