Sunvil has added the Greek islands of Fourni and Chios to its collection for 2021.
The specialist operator said Fourni, the largest of a mini-archipelago of around a dozen islands scattered between Samos and Ikaria, would evoke “charming memories” of travelling to Greece’s smaller islands in the 1980s.
Fourni has regular ferry links to Samos and the north Dodecanese islands of Patmos, Lipsi, Leros, Kalymnos and Kos, with Sunvil offering a seven-night self-catering stay at the Kosta Reli Apartments from £663pp.
Meanwhile, a 45-minute flight from Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Samos and Lemnos, Chios boasts “rich history, varied mountainous landscape and unique appeal”, Sunvil said.
Despite being the fifth largest island in Greece, the operator believes it to have remained “blissfully off the tourist trail”, lending itself to multi-centre stays with medieval villages and monasteries to explore.
A seven-night stay at the Kardamyla Hotel on Chios leads in £892pp.
Sunvil also offers a new three-week island-hopping break, exploring Chios, Fourni and Samos from £1,448pp for May departures.
