Surging demand for the Caribbean as the region continues to recover and rebuild after Hurricane Irma has informed Travel 2’s new 2018/19 Latin America and Caribbean brochure.
Forward room night bookings for Antigua next year are up 50% year-on-year, St Lucia 29% and Barbados 25%, the operator has revealed, with the Dominican Republic up 30% as it emerges as a “destination of note” for British holidaymakers.
Amid a trend towards holidaying in English-speaking Caribbean destinations, Travel 2 has recorded a 34% increase in Grenada bookings this year, which has inspired its new Other Islands range showcasing properties in Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, the Bahamas and Tobago.
In total, the new brochure features 17 new properties throughout the region, including The Royal at Atlantis in the Bahamas. The hotel features easy access to the Atlantis Paradise Island resort and its attractions, including a 141-acre waterscape, championship golf course, 11 pools and extensive beach offering.
For families, Travel 2 has added the Sunscape Splash Montego Bay in Jamaica, which has a range of facilities and services for children, along with the Sea Breeze Beach House by Ocean Hotels in Barbados, which offers family suites with private bedrooms.
Couples, meanwhile, can now book the all-suite Calabash Grenada Hotel and Spa – a member of the exclusive Relais and Chateaux collection – for a romantic getaway with Travel 2.
To mark the launch of the brochure, Travel 2 is giving away two hampers of Green & Black’s chocolate, each worth £100.
To enter, agents must make a booking from the new brochure (minimum five nights with return flights) with a deposit of at least £100pp or full balance paid before December 23.
Each qualifying booking will count as an additional entry.
