This year’s Global Travel Group conference will focus on giving members help and advice to grow their businesses.
The event, which is using the theme “How to”, takes place in Dubai between May 23 and 25 with more than 300 people set to attend – including 190 agents.
Guest speakers include Jo Fairley, co-founder of chocolate company Green & Black’s, social media expert Bruce Martin, from Ginger Juice, and email marketer Darren Hepburn, from NewZapp.
“The structure of the conference, the way that that we’ve set out the event itself is all based on feedback from agents,” said managing director Andy Stark.
He said that Fairley had been chosen because of parallels between her industry and the travel sector.
“She started with a reasonable small amount of money and went to market and grew the business to what it is today,” he said.
“The mix of other speakers and presentations we’ve got on the Tuesday and Wednesday morning are all based on the ‘How to’ theme.”
He added: “Rather than get too technical and too detailed about particular topics… [we want] to focus and concentrate on the things that are appropriate and the things that [agents] can go back and implement in their businesses.”
