Almost 100 travel and tourism companies have made it to this year’s shortlist for The Travel Marketing Awards.
A total of 66 companies from the worlds of aviation, operations, cruise and destination management feature alongside 27 marketing, media and PR agencies that all specialise in the sector.
The announcement was made this week ahead of the final awards night on Thursday 4 July at the Hilton London Bankside and which is organised by Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Travel Group (CIM TG).
Shortlisted companies will now battle it out in 34 different awards categories which are broken down into three main strands: main awards across various types of advertising and media; campaigns; and ’of the year’ awards.
Following its introduction last year, companies can again compete for an award recognising marketers’ commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their ads and campaigns, which is presented in association with media partner TTG Media.
Keith Cartwright, chair of the CIM’s Travel Group, said: "Congratulations to all the shortlisted entries for The Travel Marketing Awards. The quality of the entries this year really shone and reflects innovation, creativity, and dedication.
“I look forward to the Awards Ceremony on 4 July, where we will announce the winners and celebrate excellence in travel marketing."
The inaugural diversity, equity and inclusion award was won by Kent Downs AONB for its Up the Kent Downs (Muslim Hikers Coastal Trek) campaign, created in partnership with Vivid.
Other winners of the 2023 awards included Tui UK, Abta and Finn Partners; Tui UK took home the In-House Team of the Year gong, while Abta was named Travel Brand of the Year (Established). Finn, meanwhile, was named PR Agency of the Year.
