The aircraft maintenance branch of the former Thomas Cook network has gone into liquidation.
Two months after the demise of the 178-year-old holiday company, Thomas Cook Aircraft Engineering Limited has gone into liquidation.
Some of the Manchester-based company’s employees had been kept on until all the Cook aircraft had been returned.
The Insolvency Service confirmed the move yesterday (28 November), and said special managers KPMG will provide the staff with information they need going forward.
Formerly Mytravel Aircraft Engineering, Thomas Cook Aircraft Engineering Limited was bought by Cook 12 years ago as part of a merger worth £1.1 billion.
