Travel Counsellors has broken into the top 100 of a prestigious league table ranking annual sales growth.
The homeworking agency has been ranked 85th in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, up from 121st last year.
It follows 55% growth in turnover during the three years to October 2018.
Hays Travel, Audley Travel and corporate agent Click Travel also made the Top Track 250.
The league table, compiled by Fast Track, ranks Britain’s private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales.
Hays in Sunderland has been listed at number 43, Oxfordshire’s Audley is at 70 and Click in Birmingham is sitting at 100 – all up on last year.
In August 2019 alone, Travel Counsellors took £1.8 million in reservations, an increase of 25% on the same period last year.
It is the fifth consecutive year Travel Counsellors has made the top 250.
Chief executive Steve Byrne said: “To have broken into the league table’s top 100 is a real achievement, and makes this another milestone year.
“It’s a genuine testament to the focus we’ve brought upon customer care, building trusted relationships and creating outstanding leisure and corporate travel experiences for our travellers.”
Other businesses in the travel sector that made the cut include hotel developer Arora Group, tourism smartcard provider Leisure Pass Group, and Big Bus Tours.
Travelodge bagged the runners-up spot, shooting up six places from eighth in 2018.
There are also a number of hoteliers on the list, including Rocco Forte Hotels, Radisson Blu Edwardian, and Firmdale Hotels.
Health food and supplement chain Holland & Barrett topped the list.
