Virgin Voyages has announced it plans to start sailing in spring 2021.
The new sail dates include updates for both Scarlet Lady and its sister ship, Valiant Lady.
Scarlet Lady’s new sail date is now slated for 9 May 2021, with Valiant Lady to follow on 14 November 2021.
For its inaugural sailing season, Valiant Lady will join Scarlet Lady in the Caribbean, sailing from their new home terminal in PortMiami.
Valiant Lady will then return to Europe for the 2022 Mediterranean sailing season.
Virgin Voyages said it was "strongly encouraged" by the positive developments surrounding vaccines in the US and abroad "but also recognises the current significant challenges in combating the spread of the virus on land".
The group said it was optimistic about the upcoming wave season, expecting to see a "significant increase in consumer spending on travel well into 2021".
As the brand’s homeport, Terminal V at PortMiami will have a "significant positive economic impact" on the entire region and solidifies an important homeport for Virgin Voyages as the company continues to grow.
Virgin Voyages is offering booked passengers "the most generous and flexible options as a way of saying thank you".
The line said it remained grateful for the "incredible support it has been shown, and will continue to be a champion for its customers".
"Virgin Voyages is also making sure first mates (travel agents) are taken care of, and thank them for their partnership and ongoing support of the brand," the line said.
This includes ensuring that commissions are protected.
The brand will soon share an update on Lady Ship 3, unveiling its name and new itineraries early in 2021.
