Wow Air is to launch a new route to Orlando for the coming winter season – the carrier’s 16th North American destination.
The Icelandic airline will offer the seasonal route from Gatwick and Edinburgh, via Reykjavik, to Orlando International from December 18, 2018.
Flights to Orlando will operate three terms per week with Wow using Airbus A321neo aircraft on the route.
Skuli Mogensen, Wow’s founder and chief executive, said: “We hope this will mean more budget-conscious travellers will soon be able to experience not only what the city of Orlando has to offer but also the wider Florida state. “
“This is an important marker of our continual mission to push the price point to fly across the Atlantic as low as possible.”
Flight time for the route between Reykjavik and Orlando will be eight hours, 25 minutes. Total journey time from the UK to Orlando will be around 14 hours, including the stopover.
